Firstly congratulations!!!,

2 queries...
If you work an 8 hour shift are you being paid for 8 hours, or for 7.5 because of your break?

If you do Sat night shift are the hours between 00.00 and 06.00 Sunday paid at Sunday night rate, or does that rate refer to 00.00 and 06.00 on a Monday? I'm assuming its the Sunday morning but god knows!!!!

Angard contract says that breaks are "unpaid", so if you were to work form 06:00 to 14:00, you should be paid 8 hours minus your breaks.

BEWARE - angard only operate in 15 minute units.

For the first nine days where I worked we had 2 breaks of 20 mins each, 40 mins per day, Angard deducted 45 mins per day.

So for the 9 days every casual on site "lost" or had stolen form them 45 minutes.

This seems to be a "common" problem.

If they did it to every one of the casuals, Angard would "save" over £82,000, nice brownie point for them don't you think !

Royal Mail management refused to pay us for the 45 mins or to let us off 45 mins early.

This is ILLEGAL, and is one of the reasons I quit to take further action against Angard and RMG.

Do not give up and keep fighting for what is yours, take whatever action you need to, ET1, Small claims Court, press etc.

I'd like to pretend I'm shocked but I'm really not...thankfully the managers in our MC APPEAR to be working with us rather than against us so we've avoided that little scam.

I'll certainly get every penny I'm owed, but its really important to know EXACTLY what to claim.
