If Manpower staff are directly employed by Manpower it is completely up to them what they pay their staff.
I am not trying to justify it or comment on how fair it is...just the legal position.

Why are Manpower also putting staff forward for the Royal Mail?

When I was there last year, there were Manpower staff who were getting 2p less than the rest of us directly employed by the Royal Mail.

You was paid by RM then, you are now paid by Angard,ok Angard is RM but they are the agency part.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

i was under the impression that angard/reed were now the only ones that could supply RM temps...obviously the mess they have made is now hurriedly being cleaned up by manpower!

But Manpower told me that they started recruiting for Xmas back in October. So I don't think they're just clearing up the mess.

Where I was working (I've left thank God) there was different pay for angard Xmas, Manpower Xmas, Angard long term casuals and permanent although we were all doing the same work. The Manpower staff were getting less than the Angard Xmas staff.
