Re: training how hard can it be?
If it's anything like working in a Delivery Office it's the very basic training followed by nothing which is known as On The Job Training.
They will though have taught you something about Health and Safety so that if you have an accident it's YOUR fault.

Re: training how hard can it be?
I've done Christmas Casual work the last two years but not this year due to Angard fu*k-ups-although from what I've been reading on these boards I'm probably better off not doing it. Anyway,I had one girl asking whether Malaysia and Colombia were in Europe! I was on manual reject sorting and some of the others were chucking anything without a postcode in the "vague" slots. There were lists of towns and postcode areas above the sorting frames but some casuals were making no attempt to use it. Some of them soon cottoned on that I knew what I was doing and kept asking me for help. At one point we were doing a batch of return to sender mail and one lad asked me which part of London Hyde Park came under. When I looked at the return address it had a zip code and was actually for Hyde Park in New York!markadam1962 wrote:Who's had the "IS SPAIN IN EUROPE?" question yet?![]()
