Hello I attended an Interview for Xmas Casual work in Gloucester on
3/11/11. I was given a Provisional Offer Letter and a start date of 5/12/11
and told I would receive a E-Mail or letter within the week to say if I had
passed your vetting procedure. It's now over three weeks since my interview
and ONE week to the start date and I have heard nothing! I checked my
Royal Mail account and my application status is still 'PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS'! I
have worked as an Xmas Casual through Royal Mail for the past 11 years and
never had any problems untill now. Has anyone who attended these first interviews actually got the contract yet?

I am having same problem as you at the gloucester royal mail branch. I also went for an interview on the 3rd November and was told they would contact me within two weeks if they didnt i was told to contact them. I have emailed them twice but they havent replied. When I check my royal mail account my status says "proccessing security checks". Been like that for over a week. I start on the 5th december as well.
