When do Casuals get paid? I have had a provisional job offer for Severn Beach, Bristol? Due to start on the December 5, 2011.

Reading all the messages from people that are having problems with Angard, is there anybody that is happy with them?
It seems that they can't be trusted, staff don't know what they are doing, and casuals are treated badly.

To be fair to Angard/Reed - they are a fairly new business and only started recruiting around September this year - before then they only existed on paper. Not only is the system they are using to recruit very new its also probably suffering just under the weight of applicants - 110,000 people have applied for 18,000 positions - big numbers however you look at it.

Also as we are an unofficial forum people who have had a good experience with them probably won't go searching for a forum where they can tell people. Therefore anyone judging Angard based on posts here, will get a very one sided view.

trueTerrier - yours words ar so true :dance

I am happy with Angard but as you say - they were really Reed Employment agency until assumed a greater role with Royal Mail and effectively became a subsidiary. The number of aplcants is staggerring and they all now have to go throuh Royal Mail reruitment website - it is a new thing. Also, in the past, other agencies have recruited at Xmas for Royal Mail. This is what happens sometime when a company perhaps gets too big or take on more than they can handle.

People should take a chill - there are lot of unemployed out there and at least they might get a job for about 3 weeks or even more.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
