Angard Contract

Post by extom »

22. Working Time
22.1 You agree that the 48-hour limit under the Working Time Regulations 1998 shall not apply to you. This opt out will remain in force indefinitely. However, you may change your mind and terminate this opt out at any time by giving not less than seven days’ notice to Angard

now I've had the chance to properly read the contract, how likely are they to enforce this on me?

my hours are scheduled to be 2-10 mon - friday and i don't want any more hours than that. If I email them now saying I withdraw consent will they still offer me a job?

Opting out of the 48hr rule does not mean you are obliged to work more than 48hrs.
It is not an agreement to compulsory overtime.
Don't worry about it...there are worse things in your contract.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The pay.
The lack of security.
The lack of guaranteed hours.
The lack of paid sick absence.
The fact that it bypasses Agency Workers Regulations.
Just the usual. :whistle

30 min break. Unless you want a 45 min one then you'll finish on time, i take the 30 min skip the 15 min and finish at 5.45 instead of 6
