Good Morning,

I am wondering if anyone can help me? I had an interview over a week ago for a temp Christmas staff at Gateshead, I was told there was job for me, they gave me a starting date and the time of my 1st shift, I was also told that I would receive a confirmation email with all my contract details, unfortunately I haven't received it yet, and was wondering how to get in touch with Angard Staffing Agency, has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for the reply's but I don't really know what to do next, I was given a start date at interview of Friday 25th November, which is only 3 days away.... and I still haven't received at email with a contract, I need some advise here please, do I just turn up on Friday night for 10.30 or do I wait till I receive the email conformation? I really hope someone can help me

hmmm think you do need confirmation, but if its not far from you, could be an idea to just turn up.

Just looked on the Royal Mail site and my status say "Processing Sercurity Checks", how long does it take it's been nearly a month since my interview? anybody got any answers?

Normally 2-3 weeks,chase them up.

Thanks very much for your reply, I'm in a quandery....phoned them up 1 person say's "just turn up on the time given at the interview for the begining of the shift" ie 10.30pm on Friday night another person say's "don't go untill you have a confirmation email" just don't know what to do? any ideas what I should do?

if you called them and they told you to go, then the best bet would be to go. Think it's been a rather big fk up all round this year

yes do as mazza said,,GO,, some have even been turned away when they got a call and a confirmation email, But some have been started when they just got a call and no email, it happend to a guy working with me 1 call,, but no email,, so take the chance m8,, you may get started.

If you already have an ANGARD passcard my advice would be to turn up and ask to speak to the duty manager. Your name might not be on a list but if your there and are willing to work an extra pair of hands is always welcome, you will then be in a better position to negotiate some more shifts. Just ensure you stick your name down on an Angard time sheet it helps if you have a pay number!!

I guess this advice is mainly directed at those that have been on Angards books from the start. But to be honest this years complete balls up will leave many offices short of bodies so put yourself about and be assertive "if you don't ask you don't get" always applies. Good luck.

Thanks, I haven't worked for Angard before this is my 1st time, as you say sounds like there's been a right mix up, I'll let you know what happens
