I looked at my Royal Mail profile and it says i have passed my security checks. I cant remember the start date for RM. I have tried to contact them but cant get through via email and i am not sure of a Telephone number. Can someone help me please? Im in the Coventry area if that helps.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Similar situation : passed security check. Had strange phone call two weeks ago - rang me but said they couldn't hear me very well though I could perfectly, promised to ring later. Haven't heard since. Provisional offer is to start on 29th November. Last year everything was sent in time and induction was weeks before start.

Re: Contacting Angard on the phone?!
I went for a interview on the 17th of October for a xmas casual work position got told I would be contacted in 2-3 weeks. Now nearly a month later all I have had is a phone call at which point I asked when should I know if I have the position the guy on the phone said by the end of the week that was like 2 weeks ago. I have checked my royal mail profile on their site and it says awaiting further information, I mean they have not even asked me for any extra information.
All I have from Angard is a bit of paper with the company name on and no contact information. I am meant to be starting there at the start of December if I am successful. I have been looking for work since July when I graduated university and its not like people claim that graduates dont want work I want to work but then people offering you jobs muck you about and it gets you down.
In my case I am starting to feel what is the point of applying for jobs as I always get the same negative response if i hear anything back. If I hear nothing back from them it will be the last time I will apply for a job at Royal mail.

i also have checked my online application status and it is stated that "Awaiting Further Information" too. Yesterday, i got a voice mail asked me to called back and when i called, the only question they asked is Do you have a maiden name before. I have already been answered this question during the interview session..hmmm seems that they are not well organised. Wonder how they will manage hundreds of temporary worker then..
