Im just curious as to how long the angard staffing Xmass casual work lasts ? When i applied online it actualy says temporary work for 2/3 weeks.
I would have thought RM would have needed casual staff for longer than that ? Especialy at this busy time, i start work (Xmass casual) on monday at the eurocentral, the place used to be run by DHL and has been closed for some time, it looks as if RM have just recently taken this place over, and i mean recently,, on the security gate is a brown board with (royal mail) painted on it by hand , i drove by it yesterday and there is absolutly no sighn of any workforce, the place looks the same as it did 4 months ago, could they just be using this place temporarily over the Xmass period ?
anyway,,,, can i expect to be employed longer than the stated 2/3 weeks, or will they actualy dump me after the period stated ? just curious guys,, as i would rather have a lot longer than 2/3 weeks.

Most of you will work up to the last working day of xmas, some may be kept on for a week or so,it really does depend on where you are and how f****d the place is....................so that's work till Feb then for a lot of you.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It would also depend where you live and if you were happy to work on delivery?
One Glasgow office was interviewing last week to try and fill 9 vacancies.
I know another one has 3 or 4 vacancies. If they can't fill them they might offer xmas casuals like you the opportunity to do deliveries once your xmas duties are over.

Hey who knows you may be lucky. If we get hammered with snow again this year, they may keep you on to help clear the backlog!
