Myself and colleagues have only been getting the new seasonal rates for the last 2 weeks but we're seeing no benefit because Angard are now deducting long breaks from our wage slips. For an 8hr shift they deducted 1 hour even though we never take an hour's break, just a quick toilet stop and eat on the go. Is this happening to everyone else?
Also, I saw a post here where someone said they got the new rates backdated to October, is this a thing?

The point is they never deducted an hour unpaid break before.

Make sure to take the break and make sure it's paid for. Contact Payroll about not being paid for the breakes.
Yes, my rate was backdated since 18th of October. But I don't exactly get any benefit now, since I don't get any shifts.

Re: Angard deducting breaks that we don't take
If you were TUPE'd over from Manpower and were not being deducted breaks by them then you are still entitled to paid breaks.
Angard are very sneaky with the way they are deducting breaks.
If you work between 6 and 6.59 hours they will deduct 40 mins
between 7 hrs and 9hrs 59 its 1 hour
over 10 hours and it's 1hr 10 mins
They haven't given me a straight answer as to how someone is supposed to manage their breaks if they don't know how many hours they have worked until they actually clock out.
I now check how long I've worked and then go into town for the requisite time and then back to depot to log out.
As someone said above Take your breaks.
