Leaving Angard

Hi.

Hate to make this post but it's getting to the point when I have to leave the RM and Angard to get more shifts and more £ in.

Been reading on the posts about lots of different people getting shifts and then hardly getting anything back and the RMC that I go to, "Southampton", wants me to do more shifts but everything has to go through Angard which again depends on who you call will try to see if they can get you in or give you the "Don't call us we call you" excuse which sorry doesn't work any more as we know that the local MC would want people that are there, more then willing and know the job backwards.

I can't survive after 4 years of service to the Royal Mail on 4 hours a week or 7 hours a week and therefore got to think about leaving a position that I love and people I really on with and get back out there on the job market.

Some advice would be great - should I try and hang in there or just cut my losses.

Keeping working whatever shifts you can get, but at the same time, look for full time work elsewhere. If you can get fulltime work elsewhere, even on lesser money, take it. You'll be happier knowing in advance you've a guaranteed X hours/pay each week, rather than now not knowing if your getting a shift this week or not etc.

i would say keep doing whatever shifts you can get and get another job if its only p/t then you can keep the angard role on the side, so then when it hits the busy period you can pick up the extra cash if needed :)
