angard are clawing back the 350 vouchers !

Post by live »

Received an email this evening confirming my holiday pay and reminding me that not all the 350 may have been taken and that I could owe them money!

When they try claw back what money I owe them which is around £100, I am going to be a complete arsehole. I will deduct the holiday pay from this amount and request that if they wish to arrange me paying them back then it will have to be via letter. I will stay on the phone for ages but insist that I am awfully busy and can't discuss my repayment at this busy time. I will then inform them that I can only afford to pay back one pound per week so they should have their money back within the year no problem.

f**k you very much Angard.

£1 per week? that's too much, since lot's are being paid 1p per week, i think you should pay back this sum! ha! ha!

They paid me a penny. And a massive net deduction I take that to be the 350.
I know a few people who had 3 vouchers which they would not earn as Xmas casual. Angard will lose a lot of money, they can't claw that back.

I worked for 3 weeks 3-23 Dec, and was 'paid' by Angard with 2 x £350 vouchers

On 11 Jan a 1p deposit was made into my bank account

On 12 Jan a further 1p was deposited

On 14 Jan I reeceived some sort of Pay Slip letter from Angard. It showed I'd worked 37.5 hrs pw (5 x 8hrs shifts pw with a 30 min unpaid break = correct) @ £6.83 ph for the 3 weeks, totalling £256.13 a week or £768.39 in total

Angard then deducted £172.58 for Income Tax (Tax Code OT 1) and £42.17 for National Insurance, plus one 'Net Deduction' of £190.87 and another for £362.75, making Total Deductions of £768.37, and net pay of £0.02p

Today (17 Jan) I received an 'Individual Payroll Statement To Date' which stated my 'calculated net pay to date' was £553.64 and my 'actual net pay to date' was £700.02, and that I thus owe Angard £146.38

My first Pay Slip letter stated I had accrued 13.58 'Holiday Hours' at a Holiday Pay Rate of £6.83.

Can I assume I can deduct 13.58 x £6.83 = £93.43 from the total of £146.38 I am said to owe? (although presumably that figure will also be liable to tax and NI?)

And I was instructed by Angard to attend an Induction Day the week before I started, but on turning up was sent home from the Mail Centre because my name 'was not on the list'. I propose deducting the equivalent of 2hrs for this waste of time also.

Anyone else received a similar letter from Angard? Any comments on how we can claim the 'Holiday Hours Accrued'?

I'll email Angard with my thoughts, and let you know how I get on.
