The call from RM I received is from the mail centre I'm actually working at and they're calling people because they've got the lists in and they're on them, so I really hope that doesn't happen!gpk wrote:Good luck guys.

Re: recieved call from royal mail today!
I also got the call to arms today [Fri.2nd txt & email for Tues.6th start, earlies]. While I'm swinging from the lampshade with delight I'm still less than chuffed that it's taken from a 17th Oct. registration to arrive at this auspicious moment. I'll let you know if I get past the door on Tuesday. For everyone who's finally got a job, please don't forget the brain-ache that the whole process has caused, the people still waiting & those who got the job offer & still got screwed up. Keep an eye on this forum and, once you've actually got some work and wages, make an effort to protest about the whole fiasco. Tell your MP if he/she isn't a complete muppet. Look up which government/Labour herbert has responsibility for Royal Mail & Angard. Tell The One Show. Have a moan at the Job Centre when you sign off. Do the lot! They've all got websites & emails are free. Good luck to all still on SECURITY CHECKS PASSED.

Re: recieved call from royal mail today!
Angard finally called me from a Reed office in West Sussex. That is the nearest they get to being on-site in Canterbury. I mentioned that people have been turned away and they assured me that would not happen to me. Mmm. The wages are pitifully low ,just minimum wage really, with no shift bonus or final bonus incentive like RM did. Angard are keeping the extra money to pay the running costs of their sophisticated er, operation. Angard are the Final Solution(!) to your staffing needs! I see their main office is in Northampton, a well known hub of cheap agencies scamming low paid workers on the sprawling industrial estates around the town. I know, I've worked there. Yes, you should be worried. If they don't pay me I will be going after them. By the way it should be "receive".
