How come Manpower staff were registering people today and not direct Royal Mail staff? Also why are staff from the Jobcentre there checking peoples documents?

yes I had Manpower staff as well, I guess the answer is simply that Royal Mail dont have enough HR staff to cover the Christmas Casual hiring. Also since all they did was take my documents and ask what shift I wanted, they were not doing anything "interview" like, so needed no knowledge of Royal Mail.

As for Job Centre staff, I had this last year, but not this year, good way of keeping people in line, after the unspoken "you may loose your benefits" is in the air, but im really not sure why someone who didnt want the job, would be at the "interview".

Not always helpful doing it that way, when you might have questions, like car parking etc, that the Manpower temps simply dont know.

Will we be getting a copy of the Disclosure Scotland certificate? not had a CRB (of any kind) for almost two years now, so I would not mind one.

Mine still says "interview booked"

Hey there guys,

Just a quickie question, it's probably already somewhere in this forum but I cannot find it, however, I have an interview for the role of Christmas temp on Tuesday, what should I expect to happen at this interview? What kind of questions should I expect? Are there any tests I need to complete, etc? If anyone could answer these questions I would be much obliged!

Thanks guys look forward to hearing from you soon! :Very Happy

mine has changed now too.

Storm1986:

you queue up, get all your documents checked get assigned a number and then go to a table where someone will ask you what shift you want and then go through your application form and make sure you have photocopies of everything. You then given a copy of the letter which has your start date on.

whatever time your appointment is, I would get there a bit earlier so you have better chance of getting good shifts.
