For those of you worrying about dresscodes etc, you just wear clothes that you are comfortable in and will be practical. Bear in mind at times you may be outside on loading bays etc. You will be supplied with a flourescent waistcoat/bib by RM and they will give you your passes when you arrive for your first shift.

I am due to start on monday 28th and my status online says 'PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS' tbh, I'm going to do what I did last year and just turn up for the shift on Monday. I'm baffled how a company who apparently are owned/operated by RM have managed to do such a shambolic job of things. Last years xmas recruitment was a breeze by comparison yet that was ran directly by RM - so weird.

I've got the number for the Glasgow Sorting office, wondering if it would be best just to call them and ask if they know anything? I'm getting no where with Anguard. :cry

A few folk have called the sorting office that they have to attend just to see if they have a list of names for due start date as they should have the names by now along with badges. Waiting on e-mail or call from Angard doesnt look good

If you ring the 08454607318 number now you will get an automated response that tells you that "due to high numbers of calls they are unable to answer any." The message also tells you that you will receive an email or text message when you are security cleared and you will receive your start date. You can also email angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com

I'm hoping that this means I'm still in with a chance but I sure hope I hear something soon because I'm getting a bit up tight. :cuppa

Got a formal offer after using all modes of contact but seems just as mystic as the rest of the process.

The first day of your assignment is Start Date is 29 Nov 2011, your shift time will be Put on the Waitlist - Royal Mail will contact you if required, There may be an opportunity to work overtime, this will be offered on site locally.

Looks like I am being strung along in case of a no show. Brilliant :evil/mad
