SECURITY CHECKS PASSED...But still no word!

Hallelula! Finally managed to speak to a very pleasant lady just now.

Despite having a provisional offer of a start date of Tuesday, 22nd on the early shift, I now have a confirmed offer of a start date of Monday, 27th on the late shift!!

Whist not perfect, at least it is a job!

I attended an interview on 18th October for christmas mailsorting in Birmingham. Was given a provisional offer letter and given my 'start' date etc. and was also told that I would be contacted within 3 weeks.. Have heard nothing! Emailed angard last week and have had no reply, so joined this forum today after searching for a phone number to contact them directly on (01604 629381), sat on the phone for almost 2 hours, finally got through to someone who took my name and phone number and been told that someone will contact me... so now it's just a waiting game! Absolutely appalled at Angard! If I find out that I haven't actually got a job then I am going to be gutted!!

Congrats Phil, each time I've got through I've spoken to someone who is not part of team and told to expect call back. But it seems people including yourself are managing to get through to the team direct. Which number did u call to get offered the job?

Managed to get through at last, lady told me the Xmas team will contact me ASAP.

Angard actually called me on the friday before i started on the Monday and that seemed to happen to everyone that started on same day as me. They seem to contact people very close to actual start dates!!

My persisitence paid off and the lady I spoke to was extremely pleasant - so try to be diplomatic if and when you do get through

After 2 weeks off being absolutely disrespected by Angard and their bosses at Royal Mail, I have decided that I no longer want to work for such a bunch of amatures. These guys don't have a clue how to
treat people and if they carry on like this, they will find it a struggle to recruit anyone at all. So....do your best Angard, call me and offer me a job now....I will turn you down flat......and I will never, ever
try to get a job with you again. Best wishes for your and RM's future (which I suspect won't be a long one).
My advice to anyone on these forums.....try to get a job somewhere else.

I have had the same experience as pretty much everyone. I got through to someone the day after I posted on here, after another long wait on the phone, to be told I would be contacted at some point this week and that it wasn't a certainty I would get the job! I really do hope I get it - if i don't they will have wasted a good 6 weeks of my time. Plus my provisional offer says "you will receive your formal job offer on the condition that you pass the security checks". Security checks passed. Job offer please.

My son was given a start date and time by Angard - he reported to the sorting office last night at 10pm to start work as instructed. BUT the RM Shift manager had a list with only 30 names on it - my son's wasn't on there - there were about 30 other people just turned away as they were not on the list!!!

Angard gave my son this date and time to report for work how could he not be expected? RM said to ring the Angard enquiry number - but it just rings out no reply since 8am this morning. I rang the head office number and they took the details saying the enquiry line was experiencing problems....!!? and my son would be contacted today with an explanation - Still waiting though!!!

My Son just heard from the Christmas team - profuse apologies for the 'co**-up' of last night etc.
He will deffo be starting NEXT Monday now - but only the night shifts left - still its a job for a few weeks. :)
