The problem here is the letter we received telling us not to apply for Christmas work that gave the impression both RM permanents and Angard casuals would be assigned Christmas work and then the new RM Christmas casuals would get work. That appears to have changed and we have not been assured we will be working at Christmas at all now. At the moment we appear to be on-call and after RM Christmas casuals have been assigned. We were also planned and booked for working the Christmas periods along with the RM permanents.Britvic55 wrote:As a RM casual, yes we are cheaper, but it has been quiet at Truro this week & we all had our shifts cut. Some offered to take a day off. In the late evening there were hardly any staff working at all.
If we dont work for 28 days apparently we lose our RM vetting. This then needs to be redone which is apparently taking 3 weeks - ooops just enough time to lose AWR qualification!!!. A 28 day period of no work is also enough of a gap for us to receive our P45s from Angard.
