The only way with no cost to yourself is to file an ET1 case for unpaid wages.

Hi, i worked at North West Midlands Mail Centre for 4 weeks. i did 4 saturdays and 2 sundays.
on the 2nd sunday, i was paid £150 cash as payment for the first 2 weeks (2 saturday 1 sunday) of work.
Still awaiting payment for the last 2 weeks i worked.
this is disgusting.
i feel bad for anyone who hasnt been paid at all tbh, but i am now owed for 24 hours of work.
i emailed themvwith the address i recieved on a text, and got an automatic response which has NOTHING to do with anything.
So angry. SORT YOURSELVES OUT RM/ANGARD.
wont be going back next year. thats for sure.

Like many others I worked with, I have recieved no pay. Angard messed up from day 1 as far as I am concerned. After the interview proceedure I was give a start date. When I turned up at the mail centre I was told that I could not start as Angard had not undertaken the security checks. They had had two months to undertake these checks from the date of interview. After numerous phone calls I started 4 days late having affectively lost 4 days pay.We did not have our photo ID's despite forking out £5 for photographs, which were requested by Anrard.I left the job 2 weeks ago today. I have not yet recieved a penny in pay. The 'rumour' amongst fellow workers is that Angard are not going to pay us at the rate that was originally agreed, although I have had heard nothing from Angard to say whether this is true.
Many of my Angard work colleagues had very similar stories. Many started days late, and even weeks late because the proper checks had not been completed.I am aware that some individuals had consulted solicitors and were concidering legal action against the company.I have worked for Royal Mail as a Christmas Casual for many years and have never experienced such chaos. Is it realy too much to expect to be paid for work undertaken?

I called the 0845 460 7487 number today to find out what's happening with the £300 or so Angard still owe me. I had only recieved an automated response to my payroll query emailed monday 2nd Jan. THe girl was very polite, but unable to help and quite happy to pass off obvious DISINFORMATION regarding the Holiday Pay, ie, that I had to cancel my 50 week contract with Angard via the website in order to claim this. I asked for the specific URL which she didn't know and went to ask her manager about... guess what, it doesn't exist. The girl took my details and said she would pass them to payroll team but could not tell me if that was Angard Payroll or Reedglobal Payroll. ALso, she couldn't access the email which I had sent them. Having several years experience in outsourced call centre management myself, it's very obvious that this team of 12 people has simply be set up to pass on your details and fob you off with BULL5H1T. I don't have much confidence in this process and will patiently wait for my pay until 11th Jan as promosed today. If it's not resolved by then, I will go to the small claims court and will also be asking for compensation for the time and energy I have had to invest in chasing them for the money they owe me. Angard can pay for a lawyer to fight this if they want, but it will probably cost them considerably more than what the judge will award me.
I will warn everyone I know NEVER to deal with ANgard in the future.

I finished working for Angard on December 23rd. Still not received a penny and no replies to emails.

This is utterly mickey mouse and whoever is responsible needs their testicles removing - SLOWLY.

Luckily for me, although I didn't think so at the time, I didn't get the chance to work for christmas at the Birmingham Royal Mail Centre.

When I went in to the registration Angard told me that all the posts had been filled but you can put your name down on a waiting list, I was too dumb founded to bother.

I started applying to work for Royal Mail, via Angard on the 26th June 2011 as a casual flexible employee via email. 3 weeks later I got a phone call whilst cycling on the canal and I had a telephone interview there and then. My hopes were up! 3 weeks later I had an email asking me to attend an interview but it wasn't really an interview, I signed 4 forms and then had to re-write all my past work history. I sent in some passport photo's via a pre-paid envelope and waited, nothing happened so after 2 weeks I chased them up, they reckon it had been misplaced, so I spent another 'fiver' on more photo's and sent those in, I also called them the day after to make sure they had received them. 2 weeks later I got a identity badge through the post with my original photo's. weeks went on. Finally I got a contract on the 15th of October via email, I was then supposed to print 2 copies out and sign them and send one back.

Meanwhile I had also separately (because you have to) applied for an christmas post. I was sent an email on the 5th of September stating that as I had been a casual employee before would I like to take the opportunity to apply early for Christmas. I did. On October 21 I went to a registration event, waited in a queue to be told there were no more jobs available. So what happened to the bit where they stated that as I was a previous employee, apply now, early, to get a job?

After reading all the previous posts, I'm really glad I didn't get a job there after all. It really is quite sad that lots of people have been treated badly by Royal Mail, people who desperately need a job and money just at the time when they need it.

It's once you get to this stage after being turned down for loads of basically crappy jobs, all casual, all minimum wage, all expendable, that you begin to dispair.
I've seen men sitting in motorway patrol cars under Salford Junction by the canal just sitting there in their vehicles earning probably £350 a week just watching traffic, men sitting in little huts on the canal just down from Birmingham City Centre, acting as security whilst British Waterway Engineers try to 'fix' something. I feel rather bitter. I went for a job on the 20th Oct and got the job, it's casual, I won't go in to details about who and where but as yet I've not been given any work from them. Everything just seems to be on a casual basis. Expendable.

It seems we are going back in to the Victorian Age, where working class people are treated like crap, where we beg for scraps. What berks voted Cameron in because a lot of his ideas and changes are smashing working class people in to the dirt. Look what he did to the rioters, some of their sentences were way over the top for the crimes committed. Eat your heart out Stalin, you've an admirer, Mr Cameron. There is a rumour that he wants to get rid of the minimum wage, so far he hasn't managed to do this but it's all a matter of time.

In the PM's ideal world, we'd either be part of the 'Big Society' - working as volunteers, or as 'Interns' - working for free whilst 'learning the job'!

Ah - so that's it...... Working at the RM for Angard as a Christmas Casual was actually a Secret Pilot Scheme for Cam's Big Society :d'oh! :whistle

I worked as a Christmas Casual for 4 weeks, gave my bank details 6 times, and still never received a pay slip or money in my account. I still haven't. I had to receive two emergancy vouchers from Royal Mail to get paid. Angard you are a disgrace. Fraudulent. READ YOUR OWN CONTRACT. You not fit for purpose. READ YOUR CONTRACT and YOUR COMMITMENT to Agency Staff. I am advising anyone who wants to join Royal Mail not to as they will be up against the worst type of business practice that I have come across.ACAS should be informed of your disgraceful behaviour.

Shame on you Angard. My 5th Chrkistmas with Royal Mail and you turned it into disaster. i could have worked a further 2 weeks but was afraid the fiasco would continue. YOU have cost me around 4oo pounds stirling. SHAME ON YOU ANGARD.

Yesterday for the first time I was paid into my bank account by Angard - £49, which would appear to be about right for the 9.75 hours I should have been paid for yesterday. However, I have received nothing for the forty some hours I was due LAST week!

I have just received an e mail from them saying all outstanding monies should be paid by 11th January - but can we believe a word they say?

I still haven't received a single payslip.

my son worked at Plymouth from 23rd Nov to 22nd Dec and only received pay once on 23rd December after many complaints...rate was wrong and when I phoned I was told that the one on payslip was correct - I pointed out I had been on the royal mail careers website where my offer of a job was and had copied and pasted the rates it stated...strangly the person on the phone asked me to wait and came back and said I was indeed right and my son had been paid £2.36 per hour less than he should have done (guess if I hadnt queried it that would have saved them quite a bit as he has done over 120 hours in total!...missing shifts not paid last week not paid...need I go on!...today when I again got through to Angard and said I would be seeing a solicitor I was told blatantly "thats your perogative, I cannot give you anyone else to speak to"!!...have today emailed the poor manager in charge at the mailing centre asking if he can help but havent got a clue what to do from here!...when will payslips and P45's be sent out as without a P45 you cant start a new job or claim back any overpaid tax!!

Hello Mrsjo49155 - I spent until about 05:00hrs today reading posts on this site and some are absolutely shocking. The problems that you mention are so far widespread it's a joke.

It appears that most people are now pursuing the Employment Tribunal route - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4017934" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd suggest reading other posts for inspiration and guidance.
Finally, there appears to be a judgement date when all ANGARD payroll problems should be sorted out either January 11th, 12th or 13th. Watch this space!

The BBC 10pm news last night carried a short piece about RM temps being paid 1p. Perhaps we should all inundate the BBC website with our stories - worth a try. After all, even if the pay issues are sorted on 11 Jan (or 12, or 13!!), someone must take responsibility for the shambles. Shouldn't heads be rolling?

Had a text from Reed this morning offering work at Farnborough DO. Interesting that it's Reed and not Angard.
