I think the chances of getting employment after the initial temporary contract is very slim if not zero to be honest. It's the same across the board with Christmas temping.
In the short term obviously RM is the better option for you, more hours, more money, merrier christmas.

The job market is in tatters, especially if you're young and inexperienced like me. And I feel it is appropriate here to use this :dcfo lol

I would be happy if they offered me 25 hour contract with overtime. Alot of companies are doing this now so they say dont have to pay as much holiday pay.

I'm sorry to say this, but the fact is, that Royal Mail are getting rid of permanent staff, particularly full time. So the chances of them giving out a permanent contract are zero. :sad: There are some Agency staff, who get called back regularly, for one shift or another. But that would give you less stability, than a permanent part time contract, without overtime.
