I have the mobile phone number of one of the managers of Angard. I haven't phoned up to give him abuse... Yet :)

Gonig by my shift the best chance is the "Voucher" of £350. Those who HAVE been paid into their account (so not everyone) have got a much smaller amount than they are due.

Angard Staffing have not paid me on the 23rd or 30th of December, and the payment made to me on the 16th was short by 2.5 hours. I've reported this to Angard via email and tried all the contact numbers listed on this forum (I once made it into a queue, only for the line to go dead after 5 minutes on hold). Since my contract ended on 24/12/2011 I'm not on site to take advantage of the voucher scheme.

As an employer, Royal Mail have got to at least appear to take this seriously. Not paying employees for hard work -- done in good faith -- is dishonourable and shameful.

sjb. Totally agree.
I have yet to be paid into my account. Dec 9th I wasn't paid. Dec 16th I wasn't but eventually got a voucher to cash at a Post Office. Dec 23rd I wasn't paid but again got a voucher. Yesterday was my last day with Royal Mail. Half an hour after leaving I received a text message from Angard saying that any pay queries should be refered to Angard helpline or phone numbers and that Royal Mail were not able to rectify any issues and vouchers are no longer being issued. In other words, now they don't need us to work any nmore they have washed their hands of us.
Sure enough today I haven't been paid into the bank again (45.5 hours due less breaks). I rang Royal Mail and the wages person confirmed what the text had said, that she couldn't do anything now, and I have to take it up with Angard.
And to add insult to injury these Angard phone numbers are 0845 numbers which means THEY make money on people phoning up to complain about not being paid.
The whole thing is a shambles. I intend seeing about taking legal action.
Does anyone know if the Independent on Sunday featured the story the other week asa had been expected? I contacted them but they never got back to me.

Absolute disgrace, I have worked at the Royal Mail for 25 years, my son has been a christmas casual at manchester and has not been paid again this week after numerous phone calls to Angard who never ever ring back.

After receiving a voucher for £175.00 Christmas Eve (whilst some received a voucher for £350.00) he was promised this would all be sorted out and any further money owed would be paid into his bank on Friday 30 December, gutted for him and embarrassed to work for the Royal Mail after letting so many people down over Christmas and New Year.

Angard Staffing Solutions' director, Mr John Duncan is also a director of RM Group HR. He was responsible for setting up Angard in January 2011!
Utterly unacceptable and inexcusable incompetence whilst he and many others enjoy their fat cat salaries and bonuses based on the dedication, hardwork and commitment of some 15,000 Christmas casuals. Morally corrupt and inexcusable behaviour!

UNBELIEVABLE INCOMPETENCE FOR NOT HAVING A PROPERLY MANAGED PAYROLL SYSTEM IN PLACE WHICH WAS ACTUALLY INHERITED FROM ROYAL MAIL WAY BACK IN JANUARY 2011.

i too am an employee of royal mail. i got two family members in to work on night shift as xmas casual. i am totally embarassed and disgusted at the way the casuals have been treated. they are both out of pocket having not been paid properly for the 80 hours worked on the two week run up to xmas.
angard are even disputing the amount of hours they worked. as i work there i can be certain of the hours they put in.
two 19yr olds wanting some extra cash for xmas. willing to work night shift and that is what they get.
i need to find out what happens to the time sheets to prove the hours they worked.
i was once proud to say i work for royal mail. not any more.

It is utterly despicable, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and morally corrupt not to PAY Christmas casuals correctly or not at all whilst Royal Mail's senior managers and directors lavish fat cat bonuses on themselves based on THE PERFORMANCE, HARD WORK AND DEDICATED COMMITMENT OF SOME 15,000 CASUAL WORKFORCE!

Their Christmas bonuses SHOULD BE WITHELD UNTIL EVERY SINGLE CASUAL WORKER IS PAID CORRECTLY! I am still owed £650.38 gross salary.
Disgraceful behaviour, incompetence and complete ineptitude on the part of ANGARD STAFFING SOLUTIONS LTD!

I called the 0845 460 7487 number today to find out what's happening with the £300 or so Angard still owe me. I had only recieved an automated response to my payroll query emailed monday 2nd Jan. THe girl was very polite, but unable to help and quite happy to pass off obvious DISINFORMATION regarding the Holiday Pay, ie, that I had to cancel my 50 week contract with Angard via the website in order to claim this. I asked for the specific URL which she didn't know and went to ask her manager about... guess what, it doesn't exist. The girl took my details and said she would pass them to payroll team but could not tell me if that was Angard Payroll or Reedglobal Payroll. ALso, she couldn't access the email which I had sent them. Having several years experience in outsourced call centre management myself, it's very obvious that this team of 12 people has simply be set up to pass on your details and fob you off with BULL5H1T. I don't have much confidence in this process and will patiently wait for my pay until 11th Jan as promosed today. If it's not resolved by then, I will go to the small claims court and will also be asking for compensation for the time and energy I have had to invest in chasing them for the money they owe me. Angard can pay for a lawyer to fight this if they want, but it will probably cost them considerably more than what the judge will award me.
I will warn everyone I know NEVER to deal with ANgard in the future.

Forget a small claim court, ET1 online is the way to go, no cost.

Contacted them on fri 6th and was told that they would email payroll with all my details.
Rang again today and was told that I would be contacted by the 11th and if not to contact them at the end of the week. Is this really going to happen. By the time I have finished all the money that I am due will only pay for my large telephone bill that I will get from trying to contact them!!!!
