Started 22 November, paid ( correctly ) on 2 December, not paid on 9 December. Took until Tuesday pm to speak to anyone at Angard ( on any of the numbers ). Was promised payment ( well, 60% ) on Tuesday night, then Wednesday morning. Shift Manager then advised me on Wednesday D/S that payment would "likely" be Wednesday evening or "at worst" overnight Wednesday/Thursday. As of now, nothing has been deposited - what a surprise!

"Everything will be sorted out on this Friday's payroll." All pigs fed and watered and ready to fly!!

Food for thought :

1. Seems RMG managers at all levels are trying to keep the lid on until the peak rush is over - probably Tuesday 20th would do - then they can leave Angard to it!

2. Once RMG have paid Angard ( I know, they are part of the group ) then RMG have no responsibility to Angard workers - our contract of employment is with Angard.

3. Once our contract is finished, we become a collection of individuals each trying to get a little money out of a big company.

4. Speaking as an ex-auditor, Angard's actions are in keeping with those of a company trying to juggle creditors when it has insufficient money to pay them all!

Still not been paid. Started on 29 Nov. Am getting very p...sed off now. Is this company a charity amd do they expect their employees to work for free. The payroll department is impossible to contact. it would be easier to find Bin laden that actually speak to someone.

This is my third year working at Christmas with them, but my opinion of Royal Mail and their crap Angard company is not a good one.
I'm not applying for this again next year even if my circumstances financially are not great, fed up with all this hassle, really isn't worth it.

They obviously don't have his time sheets and therefore have no certified record of his hours worked.
The 60% is an insurance policy...until they can get in touch with his manager.

I didn't get 60% . Just £29.60 for a 37.5 hr week, most before 22.00hrs, some after. It's pay day tomorrow again.

After midnight, Banking updated, my debits/bills have gone out, no wages in for the 16th, ...and overdrawn. THANKS ANGARD! thats another £22 charge from Barclays. Angard are completely in breach of contract now, two weeks unpaid. Really hate to say it, but people should have stayed on benefits rather than make any effort. Royal Mail have alot to answer to, not just Angard here... It seriously sounds like a massive national scam covered up in cotton wool by the pair of them.. oh, and not forgetting Reed Global, who I have just seen, as of October 2011, were announced the 'directors' of Angard on the company registration. Time to get serious.

hi all am new here but was told about this site am in my 4th week of work at royal mail thru angard and i am experience payment issues and cant get hold of them i was giving the number 01202 688502 which is angards payroll they answered it 2 weeks ago now it rings out

Haven't been paid yet, worked 24 hours in total then quit. Looks like it's going to be an uphill task to get these cowboys to pay, but I won't give up :-)

Bill, I sympathise totally. I wrote to Julie Hinchliffe, a director at Reed and she kicked Payroll up the butt to pay me 60% of my gross salary for my first week. I was assured that the balance of this, less tax, plus my next salary would be paid into my bank account with no problem on Friday.

At about 5.00 pm yesterday evening (Thursday) I had an e-mail from Target Recruitment Agency thanking me for my mail of 24th November when I provided all the payroll information they needed, but ASKING ME FOR MY NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER FOR THE PAYROLL!!!

And no, I've not been paid just after midnight.

IF I ever go into work again, it will just be to say goodbye to my fellow Casuals. Today, I shall kick ass at Angard, Reed and Target to get everything I am owned! I'll be writing to my MP urging that Angard be investigated for dubious business practices. Maybe we should all do that?

These people are incompetent, uncaring and downright moronic. How DARE they treat people like this! It is, as you say, nothing short of exploitation.
