Yes, RM employed the majority of christmas/normal casuals this year.

Year round casuals are employed by Angard not RM direct. RM casuals were transferred to Angard 2 years ago.

I just went through the application on the RM recruitment site, why is it I was passed on to the agency?

It may not help me now, but surely it would be useful to advise others how to avoid this scam. On my last shift there were a whole new group of Manpower casuals who had more official looking ID cards, are these the RM workers on a higher rate.

Seems like a crazy way to encourage people to join the team at the busiest part of the year.

Angard is a RM owned company and recruit via the RM website for year round casuals. RM use the same website for recruiting the additional Christmas casuals. The job you applied for was year round casual so you come under Angard not RM (Christmas casual only).

Manpower would be the agency providing additional resources if Angard/RM had not got the capability to supply the resources needed.

Are you RM casual - if so overtime pays no extra - you simply get extra hours at whatever your rate is.

Angard casuals pre-AWR qualification no extra for overtime - just extra hours.

Angard post AWR your pay rate goes down when you get to the overtime threshold (35 hrs and 40 minutes) and after a further 10 hours goes down further.
