Good luck.
Good luck.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
Do you think all of the positions and locations have been listed?
Or do you think certain locations could be allocated to the other groups like ManPower etc?
I just don't like the sound of "Christmas Processing Post Person" over being the "Christmas casual" I was last year, and "Scottish Distribution Centre" sounds a bit busier than I would enjoy...

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
Should you choose yes if Royal Mail was paying directly?
-
Are you now or have you previously been employed within Royal Mail Group?
YES OR NO
-
If you choose Yes you get this.
What position do/did you hold?
-
Please provide us with your pay number, dates of employment, office/location, business (PO/RM/PF), Line Manager's name and reason for leaving (if applicable):

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
If you had a contract with Angard then Angard were employing you whoever was paying the wages I believe. (IAmNotALawyer)
Technically I think you should choose yes whether Angard or Royal Mail were employing you as 'Angard is an in-house recruitment agency owned by Royal Mail Group' (source http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/1 ... M.pdf.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I think that reasonably falls as employed within the Royal Mail Group.
Or not, its enough of a grey area that I'd say just to put in whatever suits you.

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
Have put in an application for this year after last year was messed up when I did not receive the emails inviting me to book the interview slot. Last year I ended up at Parcelforce, but was working through another agency (not Angard), so under 'previous RM employment' I provided my RM details for 2009 and 2010 but have not mentioned the Parcelforce work from 2011.

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
Oh, nothing particularly useful just that the Netherton and Eurocentral interviews would be in the same place and done by the same people so you could apply to Netherton and say at interview you'd rather do Eurocentral if there were positions there, you'd just applied to the first vacancies which appeared due to being keen to work etc.
Of course this would have relied on someone being reasonable so was probably a terrible idea anyway.

Re: Christmas recruitment begins today (September 5)
OK, problems applying over internet seem to be fixed. It still has the "NINumberBARRED" screen but I can now continue to the next few pages to enter my details. My guess is there were too many people applying at the same time so it "bars" too many people applying from overloading the system.
