Sadly I didn't get my promised voucher.Jobe wrote:It's not a bribe; it's just Royal Mail trying to help people out. It is in their interest too. When I get my £350 tomorrow, I am less likely to walk, aren't I. All things will balance out eventually.

Re: £350 a bribe?
Well well after my speedy reply from Angard regarding my missing money and promises to have the money in my account on Monday:-
""As it currently stands I am adding 5 day hours for Tuesday 29th and 8 night
hours for Friday 2nd. I am adding these hours to a faster payment list so
you will get the majority by midnight on Monday. Faster payments are paid
as 60% on your wages on Monday, then whatever you are still owed from the
remaining 40% after tax will be added to your next week's wages on Friday.""
LYING SCUMBAGS!! NOTHING NADA ZILTCH
Broken promises from a broken agency

Re: £350 a bribe?
If I may draw your attention to the reply I received from you regarding my missing pay and assurance that this money would be paid on Monday.
I'm disgusted to find that yet again I have been let down by Angard.
Fired off an email to payrole again! Might as well be pissing in the wind but this is getting beyond a joke.
Managing peoples expectations especially regarding pay and EVEN more so a week before Christmas is as low as it gets.
Please ensure all monies owed in arrears are paid by close of play today (Tuesday 20th December) or I will take the matter further.

Re: £350 a bribe?
Hmmmm.... two ways of looking at this. First, a cynical ploy on the part of Royal Mail to give you just enough to keep you at work but not your full pay.Luther101 wrote:They called me into the office smiling at me, handed a paper for £350..I worked 96hrs...that comes to 540. So are they suggesting 190 is taken for tax?? I feel like they just trying to avoid any chance of casuals going on strike therefore having huge problems. Just at the start of this week there were many casuals talking about quiting and some didnt even turn up. Now they paid some people off, all of sudden the casuals are putting their heads down and getting back to work.
The next pay is due on the 23rd, by then most of the work is done and RM have washed their hands with us...what if we are not paid then?
Second, a realisation on the part of Royal Mail that their interests and our interests are not that different (ie it is good for them and us if we get paid)
On balance, I think if RM had wanted to bribe us they would have given us less than what amounts to most people as two weeks pay (minus tax and NI). They would have tried a £100 or something like that. Although I think RM a massively guilty of undermining the terms and conditions of their casual staff (via setting up Angard in the first place), and cannot plead innocence over this fiasco, this payment is an attempt to keep their casual staff by paying them.
Having said all that, I haven't received a penny and it's too late anyway - I left. You're going to have to do better next year RM.

Re: £350 a bribe?
Got home to an Angard payrole email regarding my non payment I had expected on Monday:-
"I am very sorry that you were not paid on Monday, I have only been told
today that Royal Mail have refused all faster payments. The extra hours
that we discussed have been added to your records though, so you will get
the full amount paid for these on Friday rather than the remaining 40%."
YOU ARE ROYAL MAIL!!! God this farce goes on and on and on
