They are the two members of Royal Mail's board also on the board of directors at Angard.
John Duncan - Group HR Director
John Duncan was appointed Group HR Director in November 2010, with responsibility for health and safety, talent management, learning and development, industrial relations, rewards and recognition and employee engagement. He was previously Senior Vice-President, Human Resources, Canada Post Corporation and a member of the Board of Directors at SCI Group Inc. a leading outsourced supply chain services and network logistics firm. He has held prior senior executive and management roles at Canada Post in Sales, Corporate Security and Operations. John has a BA in Law from Carleton University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa. He is also a Certified Human Resources Professional and a Chartered Director.
Kath Harmeston - Director of Procurement
Kath joined Royal Mail in January 2009. She is responsible for the development and delivery of Group Procurement Strategy and for the Managing our Costs programme. Prior to joining Royal Mail Kath was Head of Procurement Transformation and Defence Partner at Atos Consulting. Kath has significant experience in designing and leading award-winning procurement and supply chain transformation programmes in both the private and public sectors - nationally and internationally. Kath's background lies in industrial chemical research and line roles within procurement.
If this turns out to be as bad as it appears to be with regards to media coverage,i would imagine Royal Mail are already working on a damage limitation plan.
Someone still may have to take the fall.
It won't be John Duncan...he is Moya's man, brought over by her from Canada Post.
They may try to push the blame over to Reed but i wouldn't expect them to take that lying down,Reed are an experienced recruitment agency,Angard aren't.
They won't get away with bollocks like this next week.....
The Royal Mail says it is “very confident” that negative comments made about its in-house agency Angard Staffing Solutions represent the views of “a very small minority”.
Just a bunch of incompetent, self-serving, bonus obsessed, devious, greedy and obfuscating liars who have not done enough to set up a proper payroll for all its Christmas casual staff. Absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable incompetence...particularly when ANGARD STAFFING "solutions" actually INHERITED a payroll infrastructure from Royal Mail for practically a whole year i.e. since January 2011! One wonders whether these highly paid directors could actually sort and do the job of a Christmas casual on £6.35/hour or £6.05/hour if you have been working long term for Angard since last Christmas!
Yes, feel very guilty about your inexcusable treatment of Angard staff as you enjoy your lavish, ill-gotten and totally unacceptable BONUSES and big FAT SALARIES.[/b]
i am working for them at the moment. and all i can say is the treatment you recieve is shockin. angard is a faceless company. Who dont care how they treat people
More importantly is Royal Mail still a civil service department? If it is then it should be conforming to the Civil Service Code of Conduct which is all about openess, honesty, integrity etc...........haven't seen much of that

Not since 1969 when it became a statutory corporation.
Royal Mail Holdings is a public limited company in which the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills owns 50,004 ordinary shares plus 1 special share, and the Treasury Solicitor holds 1 ordinary share

I used to be a senior manager at Royal Mail Headquarters in London. If I had formally suggested such an arrangement - a subsidiary of Royal Mail, apparently concealing its identity - I would probably have been called in to see the CEO and asked what on Earth I was playing at. If they want to use agency staff, they should put the agency work out on competitive tender. Pretending that they are an agency - when they very clearly are not - is really quite incredible. You couldn't make it up.
According to the i paper Tuesday 25 june 2013, the RESOLUTION FOUNDATION think tank found that many on zero hour "contracts" have to live with permanent uncertainty. It concludes that " zero hours contracts have a negative effect on staff morale, teamwork and productivity leading to a poor quality of service..."
Angard Staffing Solutions LTD and the Royal Mail should be clear about these findings and accept that all this outsourcing and abuse of the goodwill of Angardees must stop!
Respect, fairness and parity towards angardees must be shown. Bullying and prejudice from RM contracted staff and particularly managers MUST STOP FORTHWITH. Angardees typically give added value and excellent work performance at mail centres. Let ther be true unity within the workforce. Managers who show bullying prejudice towards Angard staff should be disciplined.
Angard Staffing Solutions LTD is actually a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Mail Group and one would expect that long standing Angard staff should receive FREE shares.
We are actually employees of the Royal Mail albeit on "zero hour" contracts!
Angard staff make up a sizeable proportion of the total 0f 150,00 staff.
Has anyone got any answers? What are the eligibility for FREE shares? Can RMG discriminate against Angardees?

See my answer on the thread you started.
If you were zero hour contracted Royal Mail employee, if they exist, you would get nothing either as it is pro-rated to your contracted hours,
