SECURITY CHECKS PASSED...But still no word!

My status says "passed security checks" and I am meant to be starting on Sunday 20th November at Romford.

I have phoned them 5 times in the last 2 weeks and they always give a different answer. 1st they were waiting for a start date, then they were finishing everyone elses checks! This morning they said they are working week by week at the mo and they will contact me by phone or email to confirm a start date this week!

I have recently attended the registration event for Xmas staff for the Royal Mail center in Glasgow back in 3rd of October and they said they would contact me within 3 weeks after disclosure Scotland security check procedures have passed . Three weeks later, no word and I check my Royal Mail account and it says "SECURITY CHECKS PASSED" and I thought that I would wait longer, and now 5 weeks have passed and I still haven't heard anything from the royal mail... Should I be worried?... What should I do?...Help, please??

I am in the same position as you Lesley, i had my assessment on the 18th October in Birmingham and i have looked on the website and it says security checks passed. i have tried to email Angard Staffing and its an automated message every time. It says "However, if following the potential solutions does notrectify your query please email back using " Unresolved Query" as yoursubject header".
But it comes back with the same automated message all the time.

I don't know what to do!?!

Same as you guys my account says Security Checks passed, attended Canterbury interview on 17th October, provisional contract says start November 27th after receiving confirmation. I have phoned up twice, first time said I would know by last Thursday or Friday, second time was told to bear with them. When apply in previous years I knew that I had the work a month before my start date!

Well, I just called 01604 629381 and spoke to William, who was as helpful as he could be. He advised (after speaking to a colleague), that I would be contacted by phone on Tuesday or Wednesday to
be given a formal offer and that it would be followed up with an e-mail (if I am successful). I must say, the previous posts on this topic do have me a bit worried, but we'll see in the next couple of days.

Mine still says security checks passed! I'll have to phone them later (if it isn't a robot at the other end!) and ask what the hecks going on! My interview was on the 17th October and it's coming to a month fast and still nothing heard. I was given a provisional offer that I'd work from the 26th of November - 23rd of December from 14:00 - 22:00 and they said I should hear from them in a few weeks!

Should I wait it out until the weekend? Or should I just ring them now and see where my application is at?!

I think the pay is quite good, £4.98 an hour so I'd get £40 a day and £200 a week times by 4-5 and it's around £800 - £1000 which for what would be my first EVER job, not bad, then I can get my telescope as a christmas present which costs £750!

I am in a state of panic too, i have a profisional offer to start next monday on the 21st, and have passed security, i rang them twice this morning and was told on both occasions that as i haven't heard from them i may not have a job to go to next monday, and that if i don't hear from them i will be turned away if i turned up. I am very worried. Someone is supposed to ring me back but I'm not sure they will.

Hmmm, give it until Thursday and I would ring them again!

On my interview day, I spent 1 mile walking to the place for the interview and then told I didn't have the original passport photo, even though it said on the ticklist nothing about bringing the original passport photo, so I said that to him and he said, well, yes it did! I felt like thumping him! So, I had to walk home get money, go out to the bus stop go 2 miles out my way, walk half a mile to a supermarket and spent £5 on a passport photo, and then got the bus back, walked for 1 mile back to the interview and then everything was fine and I was put with another woman who said I had been given this provisional offer and that I should hear back in a few weeks... alas, nothing's happened!

I find it is an absolute disgrace that I have been left waiting for this amount of time because I wore a suit to the interview and looked very smart and I saw other people with a t-shirt and jogging bottoms on!!! I even practised answering questions with my parents because I thought I would be asked them but nothing happened! So I wasted 2 days preparing when I was met by a miserable pillock who couldn't give a crap because he was getting paid to look like that!

Sorry for my rant but when you see the inability of some people, you do wonder how they got a job in the first place and us smart lot are left out on a limb because they have no time to spend with us!

ANGARD are a disgrace and if I get chucked off this forum then so be it... because at this moment in time, I'd rather be in I'm a celebrity than working for this bunch of clowns!

I was told by a very helpful woman who rang me back moments ago, to report on my first shift 15 mins early, and this is the agreed date on my provisional offer. Lets hope i get the email now. Will update. i advise anyone who is unsure about their shift to ring and ask for an update asap. i can only imagine that if i had left it an longer i would not have a job.

I rang them a minute ago asking them for an update on my status and they said they'll be processing it through and I should receive a phone call end of the week... and then he said, sod it, I'll do it myself for you now! I was like, yes please, can't wait any longer! So I am starting on the Monday 28th November from 14:00 until 22:00!!! Just like Rachael (congrats!) they said turn up 15 minutes before in jeans and a t-shirt! (although I'd be freezing!)

IF YOU HAVE APPLIED FOR THIS JOB, PLEASE RING ON THE NUMBER MENTIONED A FEW POSTS ABOVE BECAUSE THE LIKELYHOOD IS THAT YOU'LL GET A JOB JUST LIKE ME!

I know it's not long, but the money will help and I'd have some experience!
