Hi,

I went for an interview in Peterborough at Queensgate Hotel on the 12th of October for a Christmas job at the Kings Lynn delivery office. However because all the places at Kings Lynn were taken I was offered a place at the Royal Mail Peterborough "Outhouse" (whatever that is). I was given a provisional offer letter and was told that I would get an email telling me whether I have passed my vetting check. The thing is I'm due to start work on Monday 7th of November and have yet to receive the email. When I log onto the RMG website it says on the applicaton status "Awaiting Further Information". Does this mean I am awaiting more info from them or they are awaiting more info from me?

I have also emailed them twice but have yet to hear anything from them, even with the second one headed as Unresolved Query I still haven't heard anything.

Is there any advice anyone can give me about what to do? Also has anyone heard of this "Outhouse" in Peterborough? That's what's been written on my provisional offer letter.

I'm getting incredibly stressed out with this so would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

Thanks,

Russell.

Hi russell, best bet is to give them a ring up and find out. I gave them a call this morning and they said id passed the security checks and someone should contact me regarding the job. At 10 past 4 today a fit sounding girl rang me up and offered me the job in Port talbot mail centre, i wanted to be in swansea but she said port talbot has an extra 3 weeks work so i took that.

All the best! :)

Ok I rang them up just now and a girl answered. She said there is some missing documentation and thats why there's been a delay with my application. She asked if I had any missed calls from them but I didn't, of course  That's silly though because I know for a fact that I brought everything I needed to my interview along with photocopies. I never got turned away from the interview which I would have if I hadn't brought everything but I never got turned away and I was even given a provisional offer letter... So what documentation could possibly be missing??

She said that she'll pass it on to the security team and someone from there will phone me back within the next hour but what are the odds of that actually happening??

Now I'll just have to wait and see....

I applied and done my tests online, but my status has not changed at all?

My brother who has worked for RM for 8 years is telling me that casuals who went through manpower have already started..

Here is all I'm getting when I login to see if my situation has been updated.

Anyone got any ideas...

Please kindly advise how best to communicate as I am unable to communicate with anyone from Angard Staffing online or otherwise.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, Do you mean your status is showing "APPLICATION RECIEVED" not as you have put" APPLICATION WITHDRAWN"? As most people who can't book an interview slot are having the same problem as the link to the slots page is only available when their status shows "INVITED TO INTERVIEW" and it soon reverts back to "APPLICATION RECIEVED" again.

If your status is actualy showing "APPLICATION WITHDRAWN" not "APPLICATION RECIEVED" that is worrying as it looks like you may have managed to accidently click on something and could have withdrawn your application yourself by mistake?
It was actually "APPLICATION WITHDRAWN", however, thanks to this forum I was able to contact Angard and have it reversed.
The contact number directly to the Christmas Team (in Northampton) is 01 604 629 381.

Seems by posts on here you have to keep looking back and keep checking your emails.

Have been doing that daily. Thought the status might have updated seeing as it has been 3 weeks. Think I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see if I can get an update.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi everybody, first time poster...

having passed both interview and induction I was contacted by phone 2 weeks ago and told to attend my first shift today at 4pm-6pm at Doxford Park; on arrival the receptionist told me that no xmas staff were working today and he had not expected me or anybody. After contacting Angard in frustration I was told "we've taken your details and will get back to you." I am both confused and dissapointed, I thought I would be starting work today  I have no idea what has happened and fear I now have no job for Christmas this year.

Fingers crossed they will get back to me but I am unsure. Very poor experience so far.

My problem is a little different.

I attended an interview/assessment for Christmas Casual in Stockport. I was told I had passed and would be contacted soon. That was on 4th October.

A few weeks ago the status in the "My Applications" section on the I-GRASP site changed to "HIRED AND START DATE AGREED". The problem is that no-one has contacted me and I have no idea when the start date is. It was mentioned when I went for interview that it could be around the 15th November.

It is now 8th November and getting close. I need to give notice to sort childcare out so am getting a bit worried. Have tried to call the 0845 numbers but get told to call an 01604 number. When I do that I get told to call the 0845 number.

Help !
