CCTV shows the driver tossing the ripped box of flowers Max Craft ordered for his mum's birthday

SHOCKING video appears to show a Yodel delivery driver tossing a bouquet of Marks and Spencer flowers over a garden fence.

Max Craft, who ordered the blooms for his mum's birthday, said: "I am a not a happy customer".


CCTV shows the delivery man's arm as he lowers the box over the top of the fence at the side of a house.

The tatty package already appears to be battered and ripped open at one end, showing the flowers inside.

The driver then lets go of the box which lands upside-down in a puddle and rolls over in a soggy heap.

Max posted the footage online saying: "My mothers b'day flowers delivery courtesy of #marksandspencer #yodelonline.

"Not a happy #customer."

"We will be taking appropriate action as this behaviour clearly does not meet the high standards we expect from our Yodel drivers.

"We have reached out to the customer to apologise.”

It is not the first time Yodel drivers have been accused of mishandling packages.

In July we revealed video of an empoyee brazenly flinging parcels from one van to another in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Last Christmas a Yodel driver was caught on CCTV allegedly nicking Royal Mail parcels from a customer's garden in Surrey.

And last October a single mum was left outraged when a delivery driver used her mobile number to flirt with her on WhatsApp.

That's why our competitors are cheaper & faster......... because they're crap! IF (and I don't believe for one minute they will) Royal Mail manage to lower our pay and T&Cs to those of our competitors will they also be willing to accept us lowering our standards to those of these cowboys? I don't think so.

Yes, a bit like the Yodel delivered box of M&S flowers I found saturated by rain in the hedge away from the gate the residents used.
I put in in an outbuilding to dry out and left them an explanatory note.

At one time I got into the habit of writing, "Not left by Royal Mail " with a marker pen, as I was fed up of getting complaints about parcels couriers had doorstepped. Customers immediately think it's the Postie that brings EVERYTHING!

Doesn't seem as bad know I think they may be using a different driver in my area.

He did seem to take a bit of care but didn't know there was a chair in the way. The package already seemed badly damaged before he put it over the fence, perhaps we don't have the whole story.

Exactly, can't make out the time of day but it says Sat on the top of the screen so if it was me I'd much prefer them to be dropped over the fence as they were, as opposed to the driver leaving a note and then mother dearest having to wait until the next week to try and get them redelivered when they'd wilted.

Parcelforce used to do M&S flowers but they obviously went for a cheaper option.
