DPD voted the UK’s favourite delivery company by Which? members… again!

The UK’s fastest growing major parcel delivery company DPD has yet again been voted the best in the business in a customer satisfaction poll.
For the third year running, Which? readers have voted DPD the top delivery company in the UK. The poll was based on the experiences of over 10,500 Which? members, over a six month period.

Earlier this year, DPD was singled out by Which? for a Special Award, to recognise the fact that the company has offered the best in customer care and driven change in its sector. In addition to topping the Which? tables for delivery companies, DPD also meets all the criteria for the Which? campaign to stamp out Dodgy Deliveries.

The success rounds off an incredible 12 months in which DPD has been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Innovation, topped the MoneySavingExpert customer satisfaction poll for parcel delivery companies and made history by being the first company to win five Motor Transport awards in one year.

Dwain McDonald, DPD’s CEO, commented; “This is fantastic news. We have won a number of awards in recent years, but it is the opinion of the people we deliver to that matters most. We talk to customers all the time and have worked hard over the last few years to build a service based around their needs. Customers want to know when their parcel is coming, so that they don’t have to wait in all day, and if they can’t be around, they want to be able to relay instructions in real-time to their delivery driver to make other arrangements.

“Services like Predict, Follow My Parcel, Sunday deliveries and our new DPD Pickup parcel shop network are designed to make online shopping more convenient for customers. But they also help reassure retailers that their deliveries will be handled professionally and their customers will receive an outstanding service. And of course, a great delivery experience is one of the best ways to ensure repeat purchases.

“Our aim is to remain ‘the nation’s favourite delivery company’, so the investment in our people, our network and our technology never stops.”

Can't argue with it - the DPD guy who delivers our area has been on there some time, knows everyone and always arrives in the time frame that we get a text notification for and moreover, appears to enjoy his job. Our posties, regular and day off cover are top blokes as well so I may be one of the few receiving customers who has nothing to moan about.
It all comes down to allowing delivery staff time to settle into an area and get to know people - constant duty changes and adding odd bits of lapsing don't do that.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile
