No post in Copenhagen, and much of eastern Denmark as postal drivers protest against local wage deals
Most postal deliveries have ground to a halt in Copenhagen and parts of Zealand and Funen because the drivers who normally transport mail to distribution centres have gone on strike. The mail is now stranded at these centres and cannot be delivered.
The head of the personnel department at Post Danmark, Hans Erik Nielsen, regrets the inconvenience but says that they will not begin to negotiate with the drivers until they resume their duties.
The delivery of packages on the islands of Zealand and Funen has also been affected by the work stoppage
