Police said the suspects took 'several' parcels from the van before fleeing the scene
An investigation is underway after a delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint in Chelmsford. It was reported the driver of a DPD van was approached by three suspects in a car in Chelmerton Avenue in Chelmsford.
One of the suspects was carrying a knife, the force said. The suspects allegedly threatened the victim and took several parcels from the van before leaving in the direction of Baddow Road at about 10.45am on Thursday (December 18).
The suspects’ vehicle may have been a silver Toyota Prius. Two suspects that got out of the car were wearing black hooded jackets, grey jogging bottoms and black ski masks. One suspect is believed to be about 5ft 8in tall.
The incident comes just days before Christmas. A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We want to hear from anyone who can assist our enquiries – contact us quoting incident number 364 of Thursday 18 December.
