Evri to recruit for another 2,500 roles and hails ‘phenomenal growth’

Leeds-headquartered parcel delivery business, Evri Group, has confirmed a major recruitment drive for 2,500 roles nationwide.

This comes amidst a surge in parcel volumes for the company, which have risen 12 per cent to 425 million in the firm’s half-year results for the 26 weeks ended 30 August 2025.

Evri says it is creating opportunities across its operations and within its Leeds-based head office.

The recruitment follows a relaunch of the business’s union-backed “Evri Plus” initiative earlier this year.

It gives self-employed couriers access to benefits such as 28 days paid holiday, pension contributions, parental leave, and guaranteed national minimum wage.

Martijn de Lange, CEO, said: “We continue to deliver phenomenal growth at Evri, and none more so than within our hard-working courier network, who are truly the backbone of our business.

“At a time when many companies are reducing headcount and unemployment is growing, we’re proud to be creating thousands of opportunities and leading the way with initiatives like Evri Plus.”

The business explains the 2,500 new roles will include posts across head office corporate functions, couriers, depot and hub roles, and Evri Premium roles.

In September of this year, the company revealed a strategic £36m programme to bolster its operational parcel network.

This was intended to underpin the group’s growth following its merger with DHL eCommerce UK.
