Evri has reassured customers in Oxfordshire after issues elsewhere in the UK led to a surge in complaints and couriers being "removed".
The courier service said it took action with its delivery partner in the area to remove the delivery drivers in question and ensure they will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri.
The move comes after there were issues with deliveries elsewhere in the UK with hundreds of people joining a Facebook group, Evri Victims Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, to share experiences of parcels marked as delivered but never arriving.
Selina Duckworth, 40, from Poole, said her parcel never arrived despite being marked delivered, while Rachael Hart reported seven parcels left on her doorstep on November 27—only one of which was hers.
Following this, Evri told this newspaper that the problems were specific to the south west area and were not affecting Oxfordshire.
An Evri spokesperson said: "The story from Poole was specific to an issue in that area."
The company added that couriers are delivering around four million parcels across the country at the moment.
Evri has been criticised for its proof-of-delivery system, which often shows a black screen or a photo of a parcel outside a stranger’s home.
As reported by the Daily Echo previously , Poole MP Neil Duncan-Jordan has written to the CEO of Evri, Martijn de Lange, discussing 'significant parcel delivery issues' that are taking place in the area.
He said: "I’ve heard from many residents about parcels going missing or being delivered to the wrong address by Evri.
"I know that with Christmas coming up, this has caused real stress as people struggle to replace items or cover the costs in time.
"I’ve written to the CEO of Evri asking for urgent action and will continue to raise individual cases on behalf of constituents."
A spokesperson for Evri told our sister newspaper: “Following an investigation into this specific incident in Poole, we took immediate action with our delivery partner in the area to remove the couriers in question and ensure they will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri.
"We apologise to those customers in the area affected by this, and anyone still requiring support can contact our customer services team.”
