Tesco closing down Evri ParcelShop services at Express sites

Tesco is ending its partnership with Evri, which offered over-the-counter ParcelShop services at its Express stores.

The retailer confirmed it is in the process of shutting down the services and will deliver information on specific closing dates at each location.

The partnership allowed customers to collect and return parcels from various retailers at the Tesco Express stores and was first launched in 2021.

The supermarket retailer strengthened the arrangement in 2023 by giving shoppers the opportunity to collect Clubcard points for every parcel sent via the delivery firm.

A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our partnership with Evri, offering an over-the-counter Parcel Shop service at Tesco Express stores, is coming to an end.

“We are in the process of winding down this service in our stores and will display details in individual stores of when the service will stop at that location. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

The news comes as Asda recently announced a partnership with Evri to launch ParcelShops at the retailer’s stores across the UK.

The service is available in over 300 Asda store locations and will be phased out to all 1,200 supermarkets by April next year.
