A Maidstone-based parcel delivery network has supported The Royal British Legion for the third year running in delivering millions of poppies to the nation.

Millbray Contracts, trading as APC Maidstone, has been working with The Royal British Legion since the Poppy Appeal in 2022 and now supports the charity with collections and deliveries all year round.

Over the last four weeks, the teams have delivered in excess of 30 million poppies to army barracks, schools, offices, homes and volunteers across the nation.

The Royal British Legion is a charity providing social and financial support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.

Ben Martin, head of operations at The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal, said: "We’re really thrilled to have partnered with APC Maidstone for this year’s poppy appeal once again.

"The APC network always goes the extra mile to ensure the deliveries of our poppies and merchandise are a success and provide brilliant customer service for a special cause. I look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come."

Frank Gee, depot principal at APC Maidstone, said: "It is always an honour to support the British Royal Legion on the Poppy Appeal as well as supporting their delivery needs all year round.

"The charity carries out vital work across the nation and we’re pleased to have been able to support them to facilitate the smooth running of this year’s appeal and raising income for the Armed Forces and their families."

Jonathan Smith, chief executive at The APC, added: "The work of the Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal has been critical in providing support to the needs of veterans and their families across the country for decades.

"Across our network, we take great pride in supporting local businesses and local communities across the UK, and we're delighted to play a small part in this hugely important job to ensure the Royal British Legion is able to deliver to the communities it supports."
