A man has reportedly been airlifted to hospital after being 'seriously injured' at a DHL warehouse in Milton Keynes.

MKWeb received reports that an air ambulance had landed at the warehouse, in Pendeen Crescent, Snelshall, within the last hour.

An eyewitness at the scene confirmed that the air ambulance had attended the warehouse.

A road turning into the warehouse on the industrial estate has subsequently been closed.

DHL is a logistics company that helps transport documents and goods in more than 220 countries.

This website has contacted Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulances, Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and DHL for further comment.

Milton Keynes Council has confirmed that health and safety officers are carrying out a 'full investigation' into an incident where a man was killed by a HGV at a warehouse this morning.

An employee of DHL - an international haulage firm - was killed at its warehouse in Milton Keynes, after is is believed a lorry reversed into him as it was maneuvering into one of the bays.

Thames Valley Police has already confirmed that the man's next of kin have been informed, following the incident just before 8am.

DHL have already sent their 'deepest condolences' to the man's family, and have indicated they are working with any investigations.

The warehouse is based in Pendeen Crescent in Snelshall, and South Central Ambulances sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and ambulance officer to the incident.

The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance was also called to the warehouse, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

But now the council has become involved with investigations, and a spokesman told MKWeb: “Milton Keynes Council were informed that a fatality had occurred involving a HGV at a warehouse in Pendeen Crescent, Snelshall East, Milton Keynes earlier this morning.

"The Council’s environmental health officers from the health and safety team attended the area and are now undertaking a full investigation into the incident.”
