A DPD driver has been charged for drink driving following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
On Wednesday, September 30, police confirmed that a man driving a DPD delivery van had been and arrested and charged for driving while above the legal alcohol limit in Reading.
Officers also reported him after he was found to have a defective tyre.
The force said in a statement: "Anyone looking for a job? We believe a position may soon become available with a well-known delivery company.
"The driver was arrested and charged for drink driving, and was also reported for the defective tyre.
"No parcel deliveries were delayed as a result of this incident. The delivery driver wasn't delivering anything at all. Instead, he was on his way to view a new car.
"After acquiring a court date, it's unlikely he'll be needing the extra wheels anytime soon."
No further details have been released by police.
The man will appear at Reading Magistrates' Court in due course.
