Evri launches locker partnerships with Tesco and Motor Fuel Group

Evri has begun the rollout of its owned parcel locker network in the UK in partnership with grocery retailer Tesco and independent forecourt operator Motor Fuel Group (MFG), including 500 new lockers locations at petrol stations across the country.

The partnership follows Evri’s announcement of a £50m (US$67m) investment to more than double its ParcelShop and locker estate by 2030. The company currently has more than 11,000 ParcelShops and lockers across the UK, including services available in Post Office branches and Asda stores.

Liam Rogan, head of ParcelShop and locker network at Evri, said, “By partnering with Tesco and Motor Fuel Group in launching the first wave of our lockers, we’re reinforcing our commitment to a choice of quality delivery methods.

“Evri’s own data shows that customers value convenience when it comes to deliveries, so with Tesco stores and Motor Fuel Group forecourts at the heart of so many communities, there will be easy access to Evri services alongside filling up or picking up essentials.

“Together, these partnerships will provide shoppers with even more flexibility to send, receive and return parcels in a way that suits them, reflecting how consumer behavior is continuing to evolve.”

Evri has partnered with smart-tech specialist Bloq.it on the development of these new lockers, commissioning at least 1,000 units that will be operated solely by the Yorkshire-based delivery firm.

The first wave of new Evri-branded lockers will be installed at a small number of Tesco Extra and Superstore locations across the UK, while the 500 lockers on MFG forecourts will begin this month and continue throughout spring.
