Police investigate as masked thugs target female DPD driver in Stoke-on-Trent

Police are continuing an investigation after two men threatened a woman before stealing parcels and a phone from a delivery van. The thugs - reportedly wearing masks and dark clothes - targeted the DPD van on Longton's Clayfield Grove on Saturday morning.

Now police have urged any residents with CCTV to come forward. The incident unfolded at 9.15am with the offenders making off in a silver Citroen towards Mossfield Road.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for information after parcels and a mobile phone were stolen from a delivery van in Stoke-on-Trent.

"We were called to Clayfield Grove, Longton, after two men threatened a woman and stole goods from a van. They drove away in a silver Citroen towards Mossfield Road. Our investigation is ongoing.

"We are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch."

Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident 166 of October 25.
