Selling shares

Post by Cedar_Room »

I’m not planning on selling my allocation just yet,but with their value starting to soar the time is getting closer. Does anyone have the phone number to hand & also let me know what details I will need when I make the call? Thanks in advance

I'm still happy to keep mine for now, with parcel automation and a reduction in the USO it should be good news for profit figures eventually, even if it is still a couple of years away from seeing fruition.

Can someone remind me why when i log in to the eqiniti website theres a SIP section with some of my shares and also a Royal Mail Nominee Share section with some of my shares?

Also, its quite easy to sell the SIP shares (i sold a few a while back) but when looking at selling through the Nominee section it seems a lot more complicated and takes me to an EQi shareview dealing website? Is this normal?

The SIP is for free shares and any you've bought via the Partnership & Matching scheme.

The Nominee account is for any you've bought yourself and maybe the SAYE scheme too?

Problem i have with the Nominee account is that when you go to the sell shares section it doesnt make it clear how many you can sell tax free. Ive got 590 shares within the Nominee account and want to sell quite a few of them but only if theyre tax free.

You should be able to sell all shares in the nominee account tax free.

Only the shares held within the SIP have the 3 & 5 year conditions attached to them.

I recently sold my CSN shares through the Equiniti website and I now want to sell my SIP shares but can't see an option to do this. Do I need to transfer them to my portfolio in order to sell them?
