Prime Minister Questions

Post by Pat Ostman »

Had another question about getting rid of the 'private partner plan' (privatisation).'' Anouther decent MP had the balls to stand up to Brown and stick it to him. Good to see some Labour MPs doing their bit to keep this in the publics mind.

Start watching from 17:40 onwards or you'll probably be bored to death before you reach it.

BROWN = We have to do it, pension defect (that you caused). It needs money (We have 600 Million left to spend thankyou) and it needs to make a profit (stop selling us down the river to Europe then, like they refuse to do with us).

Good stuff.... but we need a Brown f-off as well :mfo

E politix report:

Geraldine Smith (Lab, Morecambe and Lunesdale) claimed that the case for the partial sale of the Royal Mail was "crumbling". She described the government's plans for part-privatisation of the postal service as "unwanted and unnecessary".

The prime minister replied: "I know that she has never been a supporter of the government course of action." But he stated that the Royal Mail has a pension fund deficit approaching £8bn and needs extra investment to continue meeting the universal service obligation.

Is that extra investment needed on top of the already millions we have available to spend?
