dingo wrote:Its get worse Royal Mail will shortly annouce an operating profit !! Whats more Moya has stated that unless things improve this time next year Royal Mail will run out of money.
Now where have we heard that before ?
The union is running out of time, options and members dingo.
The plan to move forward from this had better be a good one.

You can get shares in colons after the pounding mine has taken from RM/CWU I think I need a new one
You ain't seen nothing yet, this big dipper just crested the summit, down hill all the way now Cheers early starters ,runners ,car users ,non eaters and door-stepers ; Don't you dare whine
"Colleagueshares" were always worthless. For one thing, they're not REAL shares, they're an invention, a figment of a buffoon's imagination.
I, for one, never expected anything to come from this Tomfoolery.
I bet Leighton & Crozier are laughing their assess off at us. Thanks, CWU.

A. The prospect of 3.4% payrise next year is simply laughable and completely unaffordable, or so the Comapny will plead with Govt/CWU - expect this to be revised.
B. To suggest a crash from £1600 to 0 in the space of months is at best - incompetance, at worst, fraud/conspiracy to devalue the Comapny in the lead up to Privatisation.
C. 1000 Ops Managers going is a good thing and just goes to show how bloated RM is, (still).
Absolutely right that in the current financial position,Royal mail will be unable to fulfill it's promise of next years payrise, however the union already have it as a binding agreement,so i take the unions latest statement that 'there prepared to take whatever steps neccesary to get back on track' to mean effectively allowing RM to renege on this deal,as Fishtank implied earlier.
On point C,i don't know about the managerial headcount, but in my opinion the current establishment are simply not up to the task of transforming the business, whilst i wouldn't wish anyone to be made unemployed, what concerns me more is there is no suggestion of bringing in personel who can turn things round.
I feel sorry for the companies these "managers" are going to be employed in! Hope they have a good training system.
I agree with robd's post on the current management unable to transform the business. Moya most have been truely shocked at the current stock of "managers".

It was a great place top work....for him & his exec chinas.......not so for the likes of you & me, but I'd love that bald headed bag of toss to spend a month as an OPG ( assuming he don't cark it from the shock of "work" )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?
Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!
Everyone knew that these collegue shares were a joke. The management at the top along with cwu top brass should all resign. Do we hear the stampede of buyers for RM......NO.
