The votes in delivery do outnumber any other function. We all know why the deal went through - it was a minority vote and the CWU did nothing to get the vote out. The CWU knew full well it would lose the vote if there had been a high turnout.

And yes the CWU has sold members in delivery down the river.

Everybody got a voting slip through their door and details of what the deal involved. Not entirely sure why you presume everyone who didn’t vote was against the deal anyway but sure why not continue to complain about a vote that was years ago when more important days are ahead.

Lou has a point, why do you spend your time trying to stir up anti CWU fervour? What will it achieve stirring up the past?
Nothing and if you are trying to just push your very far left rhetoric we don't appear to be interested, working for RM at this moment is as trying as it has ever been in my time.
Remember us "oldies" as they like to call us have been drilled into delivering everything everyday from we started and getting away from that method of working and thinking is actually surprisingly very difficult.
Leaving stuff in the frame or bringing mail back makes us feel slightly guilty.
It takes a lot of getting away from and i just keep telling myself it's not my problem and let the manager sort it.
We live in a democracy and the vote is over, yes won the day, let's move on please.

It isn’t far left rhetoric to agree that Royal Mail has become a tool for corporate greed as the article claims. The WSWS does come across as a 6th form socialist website at times, but socialism isn’t some kind of rabid far left agenda. They just don’t seem to have any kind of nuance when it comes to Royal Mail. Otherwise, they are more pro union than a lot of media outlets and are generally on the side of the working class.
