It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Correct Delivery Of Mail Procedure 2014
Thanks for posting this.
"The Postal Services Act definition for the delivery of a postal packet is as follows:
i. at the premises to which it is addressed or redirected, unless they are a post office from
which it is to be collected,
ii. to any box or receptacle to which the occupier of those premises has agreed that postal
packets addressed to persons at those premises may be delivered"
So, the other day there was a notice taped inside the customer's window "Postman: please leave parcel in the garage" (or something like that). I opened the garage door, stashed the parcel, closed the garage door since ... the notice constituted "occupier agreement". Agreed? :)

Re: Correct Delivery Of Mail Procedure 2014
The reason this document exists is that in conduct cases the appeals manager is now trained by RM solicitors. Here is the scary bit. The conduct manager who has dismissed/conducted has,(or never will read this document nor read this in WTL), that is why this document is juicy! More importantly it is a Royal Mail document....that no Royal Mail manager reads!
Hence this document being uploaded. Feel free to distribute to your branches....
I can also reveal that RM solicitors are getting fed up with ET's being kicked out on the basis of RM managers not reading what is on their PC. They are good at prepping and delivering walks on failed revisions though,(..& don't tell anybody though....but that ain't managing!). Please distribute the enclosed document and light a big cigar when your reps wins those conduct cases!
