Link to the AFG 2014 agreement

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

not to much difference to the old deal really, only major point is next review is jan 2019 instead of jan 2017,which gives us extra security, pay rise seems fair enough.trouble is dutys are big enough now,but in a few years rounds will once again be collapsed and made much bigger,we shall see?

Sorry but it seems crystal to me
£200 lump sum payment for each full time eligible employee (pro rata for part- timers) in post on 1 October 2013, in recognition of business progress. This will be paid before Christmas in addition to any Christmas bonus.

Since when did 3 + 3 + 2.8 =9.06% ????

£200 before Christmas yet we don't ballot until the new year, hows that work?
Is the £200 in addition to Christmas bonus?

Personally I don't see a ground breaking deal either.

Agree on the maths of 3+3+2.8 not =9.06. But as in other posts regarding the £200. People need to read the words. As will be the case with the agreement.

Year1 £300 + 3% = £309. Year2 £309 + 3% = £318.27. Year3 £318.27 + 2.8% = £327.18. £327.18 is 9.06% more than £300.

It has a clause in it that penalises national industrial action so severely that it effectively removes our right to strike at a national level.
That is probably one of the worst pieces of union collective bargaining I've ever seen.

It does not in any way address the delivery workload issues instead kicking them into the long grass where going by past experience they will never be seen again.

The "legal protections" are invalidated if the part of the business they relate to is deemed or even looks like it might be deemed "financially unviable" how hard is that to fake?, Only two years ago when the colleagueshares were due they made the whole business look "financially unviable".

The pay rise has gone up from 8.6% over 3 years to 9% over 3 years but since the lump sum has been reduced by £100 the difference is negligible.

The mediation process just looks like another way to tie the IR Framework up until everybody gets old and dies.

July offer 8.6 % and £300, December offer 9.06 % and £200, that really showed them not to mess with us. Whoopidoo

Rubbish. Lump sum does not constitute a payrise. Over a 10 year period 0.5% is significantly more than £100 lump sum.

I take the £200 + £200 and vote no. No confidence in this agreement not shafting us.

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
