Re: professional drivers agreement
i used to be a PHG
when that grade seased under the way forward we was given an X phg supplement of 20 quid a week
this was supposed to be for life
several years later i became a network/logistics lgv /hgv c + e driver
a year later the PDA proffesional drivers agreement came into force in 2007 ish
I was then told by union rep that all previous suppliments had ceased
including the ex phg suppliment
but tonight after reading the agreement i am not so sure
can anybody help or advise me if i should still be getting it
and can i claim back pay if owed

Re: professional drivers agreement
MGV Drivers (C1 licence) kept the ex PHG money if they received it when Professional Driver grade was introduced.
LGV Drivers (C, C+E) licences lost any entitlement to the payment. Along with Xmas bonus.

Re: professional drivers agreement
Another question on this agreement. I have an MGV driver who performs 6 hrs O/T a week which he is paid at SA rate but looking at the agreement it 's saying this should be paid at the basic hourly rate ?
Is this correct or has this changed since the agreement was introduced .

Re: professional drivers agreement
HELP WANTED!!!!!!Can some-one tell me, i am a professional driver my office is closing, I was offered a night driving job, but because of family commitments, I turned this down because I wanted days, they offered me a processing job at another office, which I accepted, Is it true that the professional driver payment is not an allowance, it is your basic pay, so there-fore I would not loose this as it is not an allowance and does not come under the MTSF agreement.
GUIDANCE NEEDED.URGENT, Many Thanks.

Re: professional drivers agreement
mgv [pro driving] is a grade not an allowance so you keep on that rate of pay. your issue is you've turned down a mgv grade job. hopefully the change in shifts will support your case. all the best.theshrew wrote:HELP WANTED!!!!!!Can some-one tell me, i am a professional driver my office is closing, I was offered a night driving job, but because of family commitments, I turned this down because I wanted days, they offered me a processing job at another office, which I accepted, Is it true that the professional driver payment is not an allowance, it is your basic pay, so there-fore I would not loose this as it is not an allowance and does not come under the MTSF agreement.
