We voted to strike, we should have voted to end the strikes at the very least we should have been appraised of what the joint statement was - if we go out again before christmas I'll show my arse in Burtons window lunchtime the following Saturday - and that is a promise.

Ignoring a NO vote didnt happen instead most of us got silenced in return for nothing

Sorry but giving up 3hrs 20 minutes to gain a 1 hrs 40 less work over the week, does not sound like a good idea to me. We would gain a 20 minute earlier finish every day, not exactly a cause for celebration. I just hope the CWU are not seeing this as a way to stop people working their breaks, like they did with the 50hours + Overtime, its short sighted, not in the interests of members (IMHO) but I see the benefits for the CWU.

Confused as well how this would help PTimers as they would lose 30 minutes each day as well for what I can see as no gain except a rise in base pay

This would be a 1% pay rise in effect, what worries me even more is the and I quote ".Customer service continuity - a commitment to deploying change and resolving disagreement without service disruption" This is on page 9 of the agreement.

Now to me that definitely looks very close to a no strike clause and no guesses as to who wanted that in.

This,I suspect is long term "no strike agreement"

The way RM are going they may have to start issuing them because delivery rounds will soon be 5 hours long if they get their way.

Well there are moves afoot apparently to increase the delivery span - not I might add by those who do deliveries, no surprise there and as for D2D that seems to be a pot everyone wants to share - except the workload.
