Royal Mail said it would not deliver to the 21 houses until it knew the German Shepherd was no longer a danger

AN entire street left with no mail deliveries for seven months after a dog bit a postie were due to get letters again today thanks to The Sun.

German shepherd Serj got out and jumped at the postwoman in what owner Tom Groves, 30, said was a “one-off”.

Royal Mail said it would not deliver until it knew the dog was no longer a danger so residents have had to go to a sorting office two miles away to get their post.

But after we reported the stand-off last Thursday and contacted Royal Mail, officials visited Tom and Serj.

And bosses have now confirmed the 21 houses in Medlar Close, Guildford, Surrey, will get deliveries again.

The Sun also told yesterday how the residents were offered just six first-class stamps as compensation.
