Re: cdv van loads
There's a sticker on the dashboard somewhere telling you the maximum weight on the van (for a Combo it's about 545kg), so you plus the mail should not weigh over it (use your office scales to check the weight of the mail).
And if you suspect the van to be overloaded then tell your DOM and take it to the nearest weighbridge

As long as you are travelling to the weighbridge then you don't have to worry about the policebringon4dayweeks wrote:and while your driving to the nearest weigh bridge dont let the police see youDGP1 wrote:There's a sticker on the dashboard somewhere telling you the maximum weight on the van (for a Combo it's about 545kg), so you plus the mail should not weigh over it (use your office scales to check the weight of the mail).

TBH If it's noticeable then maybe you need to offload a thing or two

So if your park and loop buddy was clinically obese you would legally have to load less mail into the van?DGP1 wrote:There's a sticker on the dashboard somewhere telling you the maximum weight on the van (for a Combo it's about 545kg), so you plus the mail should not weigh over it (use your office scales to check the weight of the mail).
Is it fair therefore that fatties do less work?

Re: cdv van loads
Should seniority be replaced by weightiority?
A fat person has to be paired with a thin person to ensure the van isn't overweight.
The repick would begin with thin full-timers, then fat full timers, followed by thin part-timers (who can't pick into a pair with a thin full-timer)and fat part-timers (who can't pick into a pair with a fat full-timer)
Is there anything in the Downloads section to confirm this?

Re: cdv van loads
Would a resign be triggered if more than 30% of the workforce had put on or lost a lot of weight?

Re: cdv van loads
There should be a guide sticker in the van that will give you a rough idea.
It usually tells you the number of pouches/people the van should be carrying.
