It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Take regular breaks ?
No chance on the 4.5 hour DPR routes I'm allocated.
Take off 1 hour to scan and load van and 5 hours in reality to deliver where's the time to take any break ?

Take 30 minutes after 2-3 hours then take what's left back - don't work over

As I'm on a new 30 hour contract (Ex postie 1996) it states overtime is compulsory.
so bit of a sticky situation but I take 3 x 10min breaks.
As my duty finish time is 20.00 I'm not working over that time.
